Vermiculated Bush Frog

Philautus vermiculatus

This vermiculated bush frog is an uncommon species occuring in highland rainforests across Southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia. This pretty frog is light yellow with a dark, vermiculating pattern across its dorsum, head and limbs. The groin and shoulder joint area is yellowish orange without pattern, while the belly is pale and slightly transculent. The eyes are greyish and the body slightly rotund. It can be found perched on low-lying shrubs and branches during the night, but little else is known about its ecology.
