The triangle-necked keelback is a common snake that occupies lowland to mid-level rainforest. This attractive snake has a dark yellowish brown body with a row of mottled dark patches on the flanks, especially along the neck. There is also a row of faint dorsal spots that match the colouration on the lateral areas below each spot. The lateral area along the throat is yellowish, eventually becoming red until the mid-part of the body where it becomes dull. The ventrals are white and smooth. This keelback species hunts frogs, lizards and fish in the wild. In Southeast Asia, this snake ranges from Thailand to Malaysia and Singapore to Borneo and Indonesia.
