Smooth Skinned Mossy Frog Theloderma licin |
Described in 2007, Theloderma licin is the only smooth-backed Theloderma species. It is usually whitish in colouration, turning to dark brown hues when stressed. The legs are tinged with tiny white tubercles.
The irises are brownish while the belly is marbled with black and grey. This small frog is quite common across Peninsular Malaysia, occuring in lowland rainforest and has been known for quite some time, though it was only recently given an official description. In Southeast Asia, this species occurs in Southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia. |
