Short Horned Frog Megophrys aceras |
The short horned frog is similar to Megophrys nasuta, but lacks the long appendage above the eyes. Instead, it has a much shorter and rather blunt projection above the eyes. This frog occurs through lowland to upper-level rainforest, sometimes near small streams.
The body is covered with random turbercles while the irises are light brown in colour and the pupil is shaped like a dark slit. This species is similar to Megoprhys longipes, but is differentiated by its shorter hind legs. |
