Malaysia's snakes are among the most fascinating reptiles in Southeast Asia. Most Malaysian species also occur in adjacent or distant countries in the region, such as Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Borneo. Snakes that do not fall into a specific category due to being a monotypic species or lack of in-depth information on all the members in a family will be described in this section.
