Lizards ~ Geckos ~ Marbled Gecko

The marbled slender-toed gecko, or Cyrtodactylus quadrivirgatus, is a highly common gecko species found in low to upper-level rainforest elevations across Southeast Asia in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia (Sumatra).

Their body leans towards dark black or brown with an intricate banded pattern on its dorsal area. The Peter's gecko, or Cyrtodactylus consobrinus, is another attractive and brightly-marked gecko species. Juveniles are dark with bold white bands on the body, legs and tail. Adults are greenish brownish with the same type of patterning.
