The Malayan many toothed snake is an uncommon sight due to its small size and secretive nature. This snake is characterised by a yellowish or reddish brown head, a broad dark stripe across the vertebral area, dark brownish colouration that progresses from the neck onwards, a thin dark lateral stripe that becomes more obscure halfway through the body and white ventrals. Not much is known about this terrestial species, but it is believed to feed on skinks and insects in the wild. In Southeast Asia, it occurs in lowland rainforests across Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia (Sumatra) and Borneo.
