Lizards of Southeast Asia

Geckos, Agamids

Lizards are reptiles that belong to the order of Squamata, together with snakes. They are defined from other reptiles by posessing legs, a tail that can regenerate if bronken or split, having ear openings and movable evelids. Some lizards species are even able to change their colour to match their surroundings or to reflect internal stress. In Southeast Asia across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Borneo, a wealth of lizard species such as geckos, skinks and agamids occur.
