Earless Agamid

Aphaniotus fusca

The tiny earless agamid is identified by its lack of external ear openings, a slender shape and rounded head. It has a narrow appearance with a relatively large head. Its base colour is usually yellowish brown. While diurnal, this species can be found in lowland rainforest, usually perched with legs spread apart on broad leafs of low-hanging plants and trees. This species, while common, only occupies Southern Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Borneo in Southeast Asia.
