Snakes ~ Other Snakes ~ Bridle Snake
The bridle snake is a shy and secretive arboreal species found in lowland to mid-level rainforest. This attractive snake is tiny and beautifully-patterned with greyish brown bands on the yellow dorsum. The ventrals are yellow with a series of patches that run through the ventrolateral region.
A striped form also occurs. The bridle snake feeds on geckos and other lizards in the wild. Otherwise, not much is known about its ecology. This snake is distributed widely across Southeast Asia, especially towards Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, Singapore and Indonesia (Sumatra).
